Which companies sponsor visas for warehouse jobs in Delaware?
Large logistics and e-commerce operators are the most active sponsors in Delaware. Amazon has fulfillment center operations near Wilmington, and national carriers like XPO Logistics and Geodis maintain distribution facilities in New Castle County. Sponsorship for warehouse roles is less common than in tech or engineering, so focusing on large multinational employers with established HR and immigration infrastructure gives you the best chance.
Which visa types are most common for warehouse roles in Delaware?
H-1B visa sponsorship for warehouse roles is rare because most positions do not meet the specialty occupation standard requiring a specific bachelor's degree. Roles in warehouse operations management, logistics engineering, or supply chain analysis are more likely to qualify. The TN visa is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. Some workers enter warehouse roles after securing work authorization through other means, such as an EAD.
Which cities in Delaware have the most warehouse sponsorship jobs?
New Castle County, particularly the Wilmington and New Castle area, holds the highest concentration of warehouse and distribution facilities in the state. Its location along the I-95 corridor between Philadelphia and Baltimore makes it a regional logistics hub. Dover and the surrounding Kent County area have a smaller but active industrial base, with some distribution activity tied to Dover Air Force Base's supply chain ecosystem.
How to find warehouse visa sponsorship jobs in Delaware?
Migrate Mate is specifically built for international job seekers and filters warehouse roles in Delaware by visa sponsorship availability, saving you from manually screening hundreds of listings. Search the Delaware warehouse category on Migrate Mate to see employers who have a documented history of sponsoring work visas. Prioritizing large distribution and fulfillment employers in the Wilmington and New Castle area will give you the most targeted results.
Are there any state-specific considerations for warehouse visa sponsorship in Delaware?
Delaware's small geographic size means the job market is closely tied to the Philadelphia metro area, and some employers may operate across state lines. For H-1B petitions, employers must file a Labor Condition Application reflecting the prevailing wage for the specific work location in Delaware, not a neighboring state. Warehouse operations roles tied to supply chain management or industrial engineering functions are more likely to meet specialty occupation requirements than general floor or picker positions.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored warehouse jobs in Delaware?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
