Which companies sponsor visas for accounting associates in Florida?
Large multinationals and regional employers with significant Florida operations are the most consistent sponsors for accounting associate roles. Companies like Royal Caribbean, World Fuel Services, Ryder System, and large public accounting firms with Miami or Tampa offices have histories of H-1B visa sponsorship for accounting positions. Hospitality corporations headquartered in Orlando and international banks with Brickell offices also appear regularly in Department of Labor LCA filings for accounting roles.
Which visa types are most common for accounting associate roles in Florida?
The H-1B is the most common visa for accounting associates in Florida, provided the role requires at least a bachelor's degree in accounting or a closely related field. Candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3 visa, and Canadian and Mexican nationals can explore the TN visa under the accountant category. Some early-career candidates also work in accounting associate roles during F-1 OPT or STEM OPT, using that period to secure employer sponsorship.
Which cities in Florida have the most accounting associate sponsorship jobs?
Miami consistently leads Florida for accounting associate sponsorship activity, driven by its concentration of multinational corporations, international banking, and trade finance employers. Tampa is a strong second, particularly for corporate accounting roles tied to financial services and healthcare companies. Orlando sees activity from hospitality and theme park industry employers. Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton also have pockets of sponsorship activity tied to regional headquarters and mid-sized financial firms.
How to find accounting associate visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search, letting you filter accounting associate roles in Florida by visa sponsorship availability rather than sifting through thousands of listings manually. Because Florida's sponsorship activity is concentrated in Miami, Tampa, and Orlando, narrowing your search by city on Migrate Mate helps identify the employers most likely to have open roles. Setting up alerts for accounting associate positions means you hear about new sponsorship-eligible openings as they're posted.
Are there state-specific factors that affect accounting associate visa sponsorship in Florida?
Florida has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage comparisons since employers use federal DOL wage data rather than a state supplement. Florida's large international business community, particularly in Miami, means many employers are already familiar with visa sponsorship processes for accounting staff. Universities like the University of Florida and Florida International University produce strong accounting pipelines, and employers recruiting from those programs are often more open to sponsoring candidates already on OPT.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored accounting associate jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
