Which companies sponsor visas for director of projects roles in Florida?
Florida employers with consistent H-1B sponsorship records for senior project leadership roles include Lockheed Martin (Orlando), Carnival Corporation (Miami), AdventHealth (Orlando), Citrix (Fort Lauderdale), and several large construction and engineering firms like AECOM and Jacobs Engineering. Defense contractors and healthcare systems across the state tend to have established immigration processes for experienced project directors.
Which visa types are most common for director of projects roles in Florida?
The H-1B is the most common visa for director of projects roles in Florida, as the position typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field like engineering, construction management, or information technology. L-1A intracompany transferee visas are also relevant for candidates moving into a director role from an overseas office of a Florida-headquartered or multinational employer.
Which cities in Florida have the most director of projects sponsorship jobs?
Orlando leads in director of projects sponsorship activity, driven by its technology, defense, and healthcare sectors. Miami follows closely, supported by construction, finance, and multinational corporations. How to find director of projects visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate filters director of projects roles in Florida specifically by visa sponsorship availability, saving you from manually screening listings that won't support international candidates. The platform surfaces employers with verified H-1B sponsorship history in the state, making it faster to identify opportunities in Orlando's tech corridor, Miami's corporate sector, or Tampa's healthcare and defense hubs.
Are there any Florida-specific considerations for director of projects visa sponsorship candidates?
Florida has no state income tax, which affects how employers structure total compensation for senior roles, though prevailing wage requirements under H-1B rules are set by the Department of Labor and vary by metropolitan area. Candidates targeting defense-adjacent director roles in Central Florida should also be aware that security clearance requirements can complicate or extend the sponsorship process for some employers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored director of projects jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
