Which companies sponsor visas for director of projects roles in Wisconsin?
Milwaukee-area manufacturers including Rockwell Automation, Johnson Controls, and Harley-Davidson have sponsored project leadership roles. In Madison, Epic Systems and the University of Wisconsin Health system sponsor senior project directors in technology and healthcare operations. Kohler Co. in Kohler and Oshkosh Corporation in Oshkosh also appear in federal LCA disclosure data for project management and director-level positions.
Which visa types are most common for director of projects roles in Wisconsin?
The H-1B is the most common visa for director of projects positions in Wisconsin, as these roles typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, business, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with significant multinational employer experience may also qualify for the L-1A intracompany transferee visa. Senior professionals with extraordinary achievement may explore the O-1A category.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most director of projects sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee is the primary hub, driven by manufacturing, engineering, and financial services employers concentrated in the metro area. Madison follows closely, with demand from Epic Systems, university-affiliated health networks, and state government contractors. Green Bay and the Fox Valley corridor generate sponsorship activity through paper, packaging, and food processing companies that frequently hire director-level project managers for capital and operational initiatives.
How to find director of projects visa sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse director of projects openings in Wisconsin without sorting through roles that don't offer sponsorship. You can filter by state and role type to surface positions from Wisconsin employers actively seeking international candidates for project director roles in manufacturing, healthcare IT, and engineering.
Are there any state-specific considerations for director of projects roles and visa sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin's economy is heavily weighted toward manufacturing, agriculture processing, and healthcare technology, so director of projects roles here often require domain experience in those sectors rather than purely digital or software backgrounds. Employers filing H-1B petitions must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements for the Milwaukee or Madison metropolitan areas, which differ from each other and affect how sponsoring employers structure compensation packages for this seniority level.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored director of projects jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
