Which fintech companies in Florida sponsor E-3 visas?
Florida's largest fintech employers with a track record of visa sponsorship include FIS and Fidelity National Information Services (FIS Global), both headquartered in Jacksonville, along with Worldpay and various Miami-based payment and blockchain startups. Larger, established companies tend to have in-house immigration infrastructure, which makes the sponsorship process more straightforward for E-3 applicants than smaller firms without prior sponsorship experience.
Which cities in Florida have the most fintech E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Miami leads Florida for fintech hiring, driven by a significant influx of venture-backed startups and international financial firms concentrated in Brickell and Wynwood. Tampa has strong demand through its financial services and payments sector, including operations tied to large processors. Jacksonville's concentration of banking and payment technology companies makes it a consistent source of E-3-eligible roles, particularly in engineering and compliance.
What types of fintech roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship in Florida?
E-3 sponsorship requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning it must normally require a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field. In fintech, software engineers, data scientists, quantitative analysts, compliance officers, and product managers with relevant degrees typically meet this threshold. General business, sales, or operations roles that accept any bachelor's degree regardless of field are less likely to qualify.
How do I find fintech E-3 sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search, letting you filter by visa type, industry, and state to surface Florida fintech roles where employers are open to E-3 sponsorship. This is more targeted than general job boards, which rarely indicate sponsorship availability. When reviewing listings on Migrate Mate, prioritize established fintech companies in Miami, Tampa, and Jacksonville, as they're more likely to have prior experience navigating E-3 petitions.
Are there any Florida-specific considerations for fintech E-3 sponsorship?
Florida has no state income tax, which affects total compensation comparisons when weighing offers against roles in states like California or New York. For E-3 purposes, your employer must file a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor certifying the offered wage meets the prevailing wage for the role in the specific Florida metro area, so prevailing wage levels will differ between Miami, Tampa, and Jacksonville.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 fintech jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
