Which fintech companies in Utah sponsor E-3 visas?
Several Utah-based fintech employers have a history of sponsoring work visas for specialty-occupation roles. Companies operating in payments, lending technology, and financial software, including BILL (formerly Divvy), Galileo Financial Technologies, Weave, and MX Technologies, have filed Labor Condition Applications for technical and analytical positions. Filing history varies by year and role, so confirming active LCA activity before applying is worthwhile.
Which Utah cities have the most fintech E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City and its broader Silicon Slopes corridor, stretching through Lehi, Draper, and Provo, concentrates the majority of Utah's fintech employers. Lehi in particular hosts a high density of fintech and payments companies. Provo benefits from proximity to Brigham Young University, generating a strong technical talent pipeline that many fintech firms have built teams around.
What types of fintech roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship in Utah?
E-3 sponsorship requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning it must normally require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In fintech, roles that consistently meet this standard include software engineers, data scientists, quantitative analysts, cybersecurity engineers, product managers with technical backgrounds, and compliance analysts with finance or law degrees. General customer service or sales roles typically do not qualify.
How do I find fintech E-3 sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for employers with verified E-3 sponsorship history, so you can search Utah fintech roles without sifting through postings from companies that have never filed an LCA. Enter your occupation and select Utah to see active listings from fintech employers in Salt Lake City, Lehi, and Provo. Migrate Mate also surfaces each employer's DOL filing history so you can assess sponsorship activity before you apply.
Are there any Utah-specific considerations for E-3 sponsorship in fintech?
Utah's fintech sector is heavily concentrated in the Silicon Slopes area, where employer competition for technical talent is high. Many companies there are venture-backed startups, and smaller employers may be less experienced with E-3 filings than large multinationals, meaning some will need to engage immigration counsel for the first time. The E-3 requires a certified Labor Condition Application before the consular appointment, so confirm your employer is prepared to complete that DOL filing step early in the process.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 fintech jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
