Which consulting companies sponsor E-3 visas in Utah?
The Big Four accounting and consulting firms, including Deloitte, PwC, EY, and KPMG, all have Salt Lake City offices with established visa sponsorship programs. Mid-size and boutique firms operating in Utah's technology corridor in Lehi and Provo, such as Accenture and regional IT consultancies, also sponsor E-3 visas, though sponsorship practices vary by firm size, current hiring needs, and the specific role being filled.
Which cities in Utah have the most consulting E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City is the primary hub for consulting E-3 opportunities in Utah, hosting the majority of professional services offices and corporate headquarters. Lehi and Provo, which form the so-called Silicon Slopes technology corridor, have seen strong growth in IT consulting and advisory roles. Sandy and South Jordan also have a notable presence of financial services and management consulting firms with international hiring needs.
What types of consulting roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
E-3 sponsorship requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning it must normally require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. In consulting, roles such as management consultant, strategy analyst, IT consultant, financial advisory associate, and systems implementation consultant commonly meet this standard. Generalist or sales-oriented consulting roles where no specific degree field is required may face more scrutiny during the Labor Condition Application review.
How do I find consulting E-3 sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate is designed specifically for this search, letting you filter by visa type, state, and industry to surface consulting roles in Utah where employers are open to E-3 sponsorship. This removes the guesswork of contacting firms that don't sponsor. Targeting Salt Lake City and the Silicon Slopes corridor on Migrate Mate gives you the highest concentration of relevant consulting and professional services postings for Australian nationals.
Are there any Utah-specific considerations for E-3 consulting sponsorship?
Utah's consulting market is closely tied to its technology sector, so many sponsoring firms are IT and digital transformation consultancies rather than traditional management consulting houses. The state has a relatively tight professional labor market in Salt Lake City, which can work in favor of international candidates with specialized skills. Employers in Utah still follow federal E-3 requirements, including filing a Labor Condition Application with the Department of Labor before sponsoring any candidate.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 consulting jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
