Which consulting companies sponsor E-3 visas in Hawaii?
Federal contractors and management consulting firms are the most consistent E-3 sponsors in Hawaii. Booz Allen Hamilton, Deloitte, Leidos, and Accenture Federal Services all have Hawaii operations tied to defense and government contracts. Smaller IT consulting and professional services firms also operate in Honolulu, though their sponsorship activity tends to be less frequent than the larger contractors.
Which cities in Hawaii have the most consulting E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Honolulu accounts for the overwhelming majority of consulting E-3 sponsorship activity in Hawaii. The city hosts the state's largest concentration of federal agencies, military installations, and private sector clients, which drives demand for management, IT, and strategy consulting services. Smaller islands have very limited consulting hiring overall, making Honolulu the practical target for E-3 job seekers in this industry.
What types of consulting roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
Roles that qualify for E-3 sponsorship must meet the specialty occupation standard, meaning they require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field directly related to the position. In consulting, this typically includes management consultants, IT consultants, financial consultants, strategy analysts, and systems analysts. General business advisory roles where any degree would suffice are less likely to qualify, as the degree-to-role connection must be specific.
How do I find consulting E-3 sponsorship jobs in Hawaii?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters consulting E-3 sponsorship jobs in Hawaii so you are not sifting through roles that do not offer visa sponsorship. Because Hawaii's consulting market is smaller than mainland hubs, setting up job alerts on Migrate Mate helps you act quickly when relevant positions open. Focusing your search on federal contractors in Honolulu increases the likelihood of finding active E-3 sponsors.
Are there any Hawaii-specific considerations for consulting E-3 sponsorship?
Hawaii's consulting market is heavily shaped by federal defense and government contracts, which means security clearance requirements are common among the largest E-3 sponsors. Clearance eligibility can affect the timeline and nature of your onboarding. Hawaii's geographic isolation also means most consulting firms operate from Honolulu with limited satellite presence elsewhere in the state, so relocating to Oahu is generally a practical requirement for in-person roles.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 consulting jobs in Hawaii?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
