Tips for Finding E-3 Sponsorship Jobs in Utah
Focus on the Silicon Slopes ecosystem
Utah's tech corridor between Salt Lake City and Provo, known as Silicon Slopes, hosts hundreds of software and SaaS companies that regularly hire internationally. Targeting employers in this cluster gives you a strong concentration of E-3-eligible roles.
Research employers through LCA disclosure data
The Department of Labor's OFLC disclosure database lists every certified Labor Condition Application by employer and state. Filtering by Utah and visa type shows exactly which companies have sponsored E-3 workers, giving you a verified shortlist to target.
Look beyond Salt Lake City
Provo, Ogden, and St. George have growing employer bases in healthcare, manufacturing, and technology. Many international candidates overlook these markets, which means less competition and employers who may be more open to navigating sponsorship for the right candidate.
Search for E-3 roles on Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate filters jobs by visa type, so you can browse roles in Utah where employers are actively open to E-3 sponsorship. This saves time compared to manually screening job listings that don't disclose sponsorship willingness upfront.
Prioritize employers with an established HR infrastructure
Larger Utah employers in sectors like healthcare systems, financial services, and enterprise software are more likely to have legal and HR teams experienced with E-3 processing. Smaller startups may be willing but lack the internal capacity to move quickly.
Align your application to specialty occupation standards
E-3 eligibility requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning it must typically require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Framing your resume and cover letter to highlight the degree-to-role connection strengthens your case from the first touchpoint.

Which industries in Utah sponsor the most E-3 visas?
Technology and software development lead E-3 visa sponsorship activity in Utah, driven by the Silicon Slopes corridor. Healthcare systems, financial services, and life sciences companies also represent a consistent share of sponsoring employers. Engineering roles across construction and manufacturing sectors appear in LCA filings as well, particularly in the Salt Lake City metro.
Which cities in Utah have the most E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City and its surrounding suburbs account for the largest share of E-3 sponsorship activity in Utah, given the concentration of tech, healthcare, and corporate employers. Provo and Orem follow closely due to the Silicon Slopes tech presence and proximity to Brigham Young University. Ogden has a smaller but active employer base in healthcare and manufacturing.
What types of roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship in Utah?
Roles that qualify for E-3 sponsorship in Utah are those that meet the specialty occupation standard, meaning the position must normally require a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field. Software engineers, data analysts, financial analysts, registered nurses, civil and mechanical engineers, and management consultants are among the common qualifying role types seen in Utah LCA filings.
How do I find E-3 sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter jobs by visa type, including E-3, and by state to surface Utah roles where employers are open to sponsoring Australian candidates. Combining that with DOL OFLC disclosure data to identify Utah companies with prior E-3 filings gives you a targeted, verified approach rather than applying broadly.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
