Which fintech companies in Tennessee sponsor E-3 visas?
Nashville-based employers in payments processing, insurtech, and healthcare finance have the strongest E-3 filing history in Tennessee. Companies like Asurion and technology subsidiaries of regional banks and insurance groups have certified Labor Condition Applications for specialty-occupation roles. Memphis firms in embedded finance and Knoxville data-analytics startups round out the state's E-3 sponsoring employer base, though sponsorship decisions vary by role and hiring cycle.
Which Tennessee cities have the most fintech E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Nashville concentrates the largest share of Tennessee fintech E-3 opportunities, anchored by its payments, insurtech, and healthcare-technology companies. Memphis has a smaller but active fintech employment base tied to logistics finance and banking technology. Knoxville and Chattanooga contribute data-analytics and enterprise software roles. Nashville's density of mid-size and enterprise fintech employers makes it the most practical starting point for E-3 applicants targeting Tennessee.
How do I find fintech E-3 sponsorship jobs in Tennessee?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for employers with verified E-3 Labor Condition Application filing history, so you can focus on Tennessee fintech companies that have already sponsored the visa category rather than cold-applying to employers unfamiliar with the process. Search by state and industry on Migrate Mate to surface software engineering, data analytics, compliance, and financial product roles at employers who understand E-3 specialty-occupation requirements.
What fintech roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship in Tennessee?
E-3 sponsorship requires a specialty occupation, meaning the role must normally require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In Tennessee fintech, qualifying roles commonly include software engineer, data scientist, quantitative analyst, cybersecurity analyst, financial systems architect, and compliance technology specialist. General business, sales support, or operations roles that accept any degree field typically do not meet the specialty-occupation standard under USCIS guidance.
Are there state-specific considerations for E-3 sponsorship in Tennessee fintech?
Tennessee has no state income tax on wages, which affects total compensation comparisons but does not change the federal E-3 prevailing-wage requirement, employers must still certify wages meeting DOL wage levels for the relevant occupation and metropolitan area via the OFLC Wage Search. Nashville and Memphis are treated as separate metropolitan statistical areas for prevailing-wage purposes, so the certified wage floor differs between the two cities even for identical job titles.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 fintech jobs in Tennessee?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
