Which manufacturing companies sponsor E-3 visas in Florida?
Florida manufacturers with histories of sponsoring skilled foreign workers include Lockheed Martin in Orlando, Siemens Energy in Orlando, Northrop Grumman, and various aerospace and defense contractors in the Space Coast region around Cape Canaveral. Food and beverage manufacturers, medical device companies in the Tampa Bay corridor, and building materials producers have also filed Labor Condition Applications for specialty occupation roles that align with E-3 visa eligibility.
Which cities in Florida have the most manufacturing E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Orlando leads due to its concentration of aerospace, defense, and simulation technology manufacturers. Jacksonville supports a strong industrial base in paper, chemicals, and logistics-adjacent manufacturing. Tampa Bay hosts medical device, food processing, and consumer goods manufacturers. The Space Coast cities of Melbourne and Titusville are notable for high-skill aerospace manufacturing roles that frequently require the degree-level qualifications E-3 sponsorship demands.
What types of manufacturing roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
E-3 sponsorship requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning it must normally require at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. In manufacturing, roles that commonly meet this threshold include manufacturing engineer, process engineer, quality engineer, materials scientist, industrial engineer, and production planning analyst. General assembly, line supervision, or roles where any bachelor's degree field is acceptable are less likely to qualify.
How do I find manufacturing E-3 sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers needing visa sponsorship, including E-3 candidates in manufacturing. You can filter by state, visa type, and industry to surface Florida manufacturing roles where employers have indicated sponsorship willingness. Because E-3 sponsorship requires employer participation from the start, focusing your search on companies already familiar with the process, as listed on Migrate Mate, saves significant time.
Are there Florida-specific considerations for E-3 sponsorship in manufacturing?
Florida has no state income tax, which affects total compensation comparisons but does not change E-3 eligibility or the Labor Condition Application process. Florida's manufacturing sector is heavily weighted toward aerospace, defense, and food processing, industries where specialty occupation determinations are generally well-established. However, defense contractors may require security clearances for certain roles, which Australian citizens on E-3 visas can sometimes obtain but the process adds complexity beyond standard visa sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 manufacturing jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
