Which companies sponsor visas for manufacturing supervisors in Florida?
Florida employers with established visa sponsorship histories for manufacturing supervisor roles include Lockheed Martin and Boeing in the aerospace corridor, Jabil and Flex in electronics contract manufacturing around Tampa, and medical device manufacturers such as Hologic and Siemens Healthineers. Large food and beverage producers with Florida operations, including Publix's distribution network, have also sponsored manufacturing operations roles in the past.
Which visa types are most common for manufacturing supervisor roles in Florida?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for manufacturing supervisors in Florida, provided the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or technical field. The L-1A is an option for supervisors transferring from a foreign affiliate. Candidates with extraordinary ability in manufacturing operations may qualify for the O-1A, though that standard is rarely met at the supervisor level.
Which cities in Florida have the most manufacturing supervisor sponsorship jobs?
Tampa and the surrounding Hillsborough County area leads for electronics and medical device manufacturing. Orlando and the Space Coast corridor, including Melbourne and Titusville, concentrate aerospace and defense manufacturing supervisor roles. Jacksonville has a growing industrial and logistics manufacturing base. Miami and Fort Lauderdale see sponsorship activity in food processing, pharmaceuticals, and international trade-related manufacturing operations.
How to find manufacturing supervisor visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse manufacturing supervisor openings across Florida without manually screening each employer. You can narrow results by city or sub-region, such as Tampa Bay, Orlando, or the Space Coast, and filter by visa type. This is especially useful for manufacturing supervisor roles, where sponsorship eligibility depends heavily on how the employer has structured the position's degree requirements.
Are there state-specific considerations for manufacturing supervisor visa sponsorship in Florida?
Florida has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage comparisons during the H-1B Labor Condition Application process. Florida's manufacturing sector is heavily concentrated in regulated industries such as aerospace, defense, and medical devices, meaning many manufacturing supervisor roles require security clearances or FDA compliance backgrounds, which can complicate or limit sponsorship for candidates without prior U.S. work authorization. Florida's university system, including UCF and USF, also supplies engineering graduates who sometimes remain in-state for sponsored roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored manufacturing supervisor jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
