Which companies sponsor visas for manufacturing supervisors in Indiana?
Several large Indiana manufacturers have established records of H-1B visa and other visa sponsorships for operations and supervisory roles. Companies like Cummins, Subaru of Indiana Automotive, Rolls-Royce, Eli Lilly, and Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana have all appeared in Department of Labor disclosure data for sponsored positions. Sponsorship activity tends to be strongest at larger facilities with dedicated HR and legal resources to manage immigration filings.
Which visa types are most common for manufacturing supervisor roles in Indiana?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for manufacturing supervisor positions, though it requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning it typically needs to involve engineering, industrial management, or a related discipline requiring at least a bachelor's degree. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. L-1 visa transfers are another path for supervisors moving from a foreign affiliate to an Indiana facility.
Which cities in Indiana have the most manufacturing supervisor sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis and its surrounding metro area generate the highest volume of sponsored manufacturing roles, given its concentration of pharmaceutical and advanced manufacturing operations. Lafayette is significant due to Subaru's large production plant. Columbus draws activity from Cummins' global headquarters. Anderson, Kokomo, and Fort Wayne also see sponsorship activity tied to automotive and electronics manufacturing facilities operating in those corridors.
How to find manufacturing supervisor visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters manufacturing supervisor roles in Indiana by visa sponsorship eligibility, saving you from sorting through listings from employers who won't sponsor. Because Indiana's manufacturing sector spans automotive, pharmaceutical, and industrial equipment industries, using Migrate Mate lets you focus your search on employers who have actively sponsored workers in supervisory and operations management roles in this state.
Are there state-specific considerations for manufacturing supervisor sponsorship in Indiana?
Indiana's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B filings are determined by DOL wage surveys and vary by metro area, with Indianapolis and Columbus generally reflecting higher wage levels than smaller markets. Indiana's concentration of automotive and pharmaceutical plants means many supervisory roles involve shift oversight and production quality responsibilities, which can affect how employers define and document the specialty occupation requirement for visa petitions. University pipelines from Purdue and IUPUI also supply candidates familiar with Indiana's manufacturing employers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored manufacturing supervisor jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
