Search Project Management Coordinator Jobs in FloridaProject Management Coordinator Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies sponsor visas for project management coordinators in Florida?
Florida's largest visa sponsors for project management coordinator roles include aerospace and defense contractors on the Space Coast such as Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and Boeing, as well as healthcare systems like AdventHealth, HCA Florida, and Tampa General Hospital. Logistics and supply chain companies headquartered in South Florida, including Ryder System and Carnival Corporation, also have documented H-1B visa sponsorship histories for project coordination roles.
Which visa types are most common for project management coordinator roles in Florida?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for project management coordinators in Florida, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business administration, engineering, or information systems. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may qualify for TN visa status under the NAFTA/USMCA management consultant category. Those with qualifying multinational experience may also explore the L-1B intracompany transferee pathway through employers with Florida operations.
Which cities in Florida have the most project management coordinator sponsorship jobs?
Orlando and the broader Space Coast corridor generate significant project management coordinator sponsorship activity, driven by aerospace, defense, and theme park operations employers. Miami leads in logistics, finance, and international trade coordination roles, particularly in Brickell and Doral. Tampa is a growing hub for healthcare and technology project management, with employers across the I-4 corridor between Tampa and Orlando also posting coordinator roles with sponsorship.
How to find project management coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, letting you search project management coordinator roles in Florida without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. Because Florida's sponsorship activity spans multiple industries, including aerospace, healthcare, and logistics, using Migrate Mate's role and location filters together helps narrow results to employers actively hiring coordinators with H-1B or other visa support in cities like Orlando, Miami, and Tampa.
Are there any Florida-specific considerations for project management coordinator visa sponsorship?
Florida has no state income tax, which affects how prevailing wage determinations compare to high-cost states, but Department of Labor wage requirements still apply and employers must meet the prevailing wage for the specific metropolitan area. Florida's strong university pipeline, including graduates from the University of Florida, University of Miami, and Florida International University, means competition for sponsored coordinator roles can be meaningful. Industries like aerospace and defense may also require security clearance eligibility, which can affect candidacy for international applicants.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project management coordinator jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
