Which companies sponsor visas for project management coordinators in Ohio?
Large Ohio-headquartered employers with established immigration programs include Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati, Nationwide and JPMorgan Chase in Columbus, and Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland. Manufacturing firms like Parker Hannifin and Sherwin-Williams have also sponsored project management roles. Companies with dedicated HR and legal teams are generally better positioned to manage H-1B visa petition processes for coordinator-level positions.
Which visa types are most common for project management coordinator roles in Ohio?
The H-1B is the most common visa for project management coordinators in Ohio, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business administration, engineering, or information systems. Some candidates already in the U.S. on OPT or STEM OPT may also secure sponsorship during that period. TN visas apply for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management categories.
Which cities in Ohio have the most project management coordinator sponsorship jobs?
Columbus leads due to its concentration of corporate headquarters, insurance firms, and tech employers across the Easton and Short North corridors. Cleveland follows, driven by healthcare systems and manufacturing companies in the broader Northeast Ohio region. Cincinnati is a strong third, particularly for consumer goods and financial services. Smaller hubs like Dayton and Akron also have aerospace and polymer industry employers with coordinator openings.
How to find project management coordinator visa sponsorship jobs in Ohio?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates and filters job listings to show project management coordinator roles in Ohio where employers have a history of sponsoring work visas. Rather than sorting through postings that rarely mention sponsorship, Migrate Mate surfaces relevant Ohio opportunities across industries like healthcare, manufacturing, and finance, saving time for candidates who need confirmed sponsorship to accept a role.
Are there state-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for project management coordinators in Ohio?
Ohio's prevailing wage requirements for H-1B petitions are determined by the Department of Labor based on the specific metro area, so Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati each carry different wage thresholds for coordinator-level roles. Ohio's large public university system, including Ohio State and Case Western Reserve, produces a pipeline of international graduates who often pursue OPT-to-sponsorship transitions with in-state employers, making the state relatively experienced with international hiring processes.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project management coordinator jobs in Ohio?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
