Which companies sponsor visas for strategy roles in Florida?
Major consulting firms including Deloitte, McKinsey, Boston Consulting Group, and Accenture have Florida offices and documented H-1B visa sponsorship histories for strategy and management consulting roles. Large Florida-headquartered employers in healthcare, hospitality, and financial services, such as AdventHealth, Roper Technologies, and Raymond James, also sponsor strategy hires, though sponsorship frequency varies by role, seniority, and internal hiring needs.
Which visa types are most common for strategy roles in Florida?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for strategy professionals in Florida, as these roles typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in business, economics, or a related field, satisfying the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with O-1A eligibility based on demonstrated leadership or recognition may also qualify. Those transferring within multinational firms may be eligible for the L-1A or L-1B depending on their function and tenure.
Which cities in Florida have the most strategy sponsorship jobs?
Miami leads Florida for strategy sponsorship volume, driven by its concentration of multinational corporations, Latin American regional headquarters, and private equity firms. Tampa follows closely, with a growing professional services sector anchored by consulting, financial services, and healthcare strategy. Orlando sees demand tied to tourism conglomerates and healthcare systems. Jacksonville has a smaller but active market through financial services and logistics firms with strategy functions.
How to find strategy visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can browse strategy roles in Florida without sorting through employers who don't sponsor. The platform surfaces positions from consulting firms, corporate strategy teams, and industry-specific employers across Miami, Tampa, and Orlando. Filtering by state and role category on Migrate Mate is the most direct way to identify active sponsoring employers for strategy positions in Florida.
Are there state-specific factors that affect strategy visa sponsorship in Florida?
Florida has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage comparisons when the Department of Labor benchmarks compensation for H-1B Labor Condition Applications. Florida's economy is heavily weighted toward healthcare, tourism, and financial services, so strategy roles in those sectors tend to have stronger sponsorship pipelines than generalist corporate strategy positions. Several Florida universities, including the University of Florida and University of Miami, produce MBA graduates who enter strategy roles and are familiar to local sponsoring employers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored strategy jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
