IBM leads Florida's technology visa sponsorship, particularly at their Boca Raton operations, followed by Microsoft's Tampa and Miami offices. Citrix Systems in Fort Lauderdale sponsors significant numbers of H-1B visas for software engineers and cloud architects. Financial technology firms like Raymond James and FIS also sponsor substantial numbers of technology professionals annually.

H-1B visas dominate Florida's technology sponsorship, especially for software engineers, data scientists, and cybersecurity roles. L-1 visas are common for intracompany transfers to major tech offices in Miami and Tampa. O-1 visas occasionally appear for senior architects at gaming companies in Orlando, while TN visas serve Canadian and Mexican technology professionals.
How to find technology visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate specializes in technology visa sponsorship opportunities across Florida's major tech hubs. The platform filters specifically for companies that sponsor work visas, focusing on Florida's strong demand for software engineers in Miami's fintech sector, cloud specialists in Tampa, and simulation engineers in Orlando's defense and aerospace technology companies.
Which Florida cities offer the most technology visa sponsorship opportunities?
Miami leads with fintech and financial services technology roles, particularly in blockchain and trading platforms. Tampa Bay follows with Microsoft, Tech Data, and growing startup activity. Fort Lauderdale hosts Citrix and AutoNation's technology divisions. Orlando focuses on simulation and gaming technology, while Jacksonville offers insurance technology and logistics software positions.
Are Florida technology prevailing wages competitive for visa sponsorship?

What is the prevailing wage for sponsored technology jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
