About the Role
We are looking for a Director of Product Management to define and build the GreyMatter Cloud Platform from the ground up. You will own the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and developer experience, while building a platform that partners, developers, and enterprise customers can extend and build upon. This is a high-ownership leadership role for a product leader who combines strategic thinking with strong technical fluency. You will lead and develop a team of product managers, work closely with engineering and external partners, and turn customer and developer needs into a scalable platform business.
- Own product strategy: Define the platform vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap, translating business objectives and customer needs into a clear product direction.
- Build the developer ecosystem: Drive the development of APIs, SDKs, extensibility frameworks, documentation, sandbox environments, and developer onboarding experiences.
- Work with customers and partners: Engage directly with enterprise customers, ISVs, partners, and vendors to understand their needs and improve the platform.
- Drive metrics and outcomes: Define and track success metrics, including developer adoption, API usage, time to first integration, partner activation, platform reliability, and revenue impact.
- Lead product teams: Hire, mentor, and develop a team of product managers, establishing strong product practices and accountability.
- Partner across the business: Collaborate with engineering, design, sales, customer success, and marketing on product development, go-to-market strategy, and launches.
- Shape the business model: Define platform packaging, pricing, and partner programs in collaboration with business leadership.
- Communicate with executives: Report on platform performance, strategic priorities, progress, and business impact to executive leadership.
What You'll Bring
- 15+ years of product management experience, with a proven track record of taking products from concept to scale.
- Experience building developer platforms or enterprise extensibility ecosystems, such as SAP BTP, Salesforce Platform/AppExchange, or comparable platforms.
- Experience managing a team of 5 or more people, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
- A metrics-driven approach to product management, with experience defining product measurements, instrumenting metrics, and using data to guide decisions.
- Experience working with external partners, independent software vendors (ISVs), and technology vendors to gather feedback and improve products.
- Strong technical fluency in APIs, integration patterns, cloud architecture, and developer experience.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience working with executive leadership.
- The ability to navigate ambiguity, move quickly, and balance strategic thinking with detailed execution.
- A bachelor's degree from a top-tier institution; an MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
Strongly Preferred
- Experience in warehousing, supply chain, logistics, or warehouse automation software.
- Hands-on experience with leading Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), such as Manhattan Associates or Blue Yonder.
- Platform-building experience will carry more weight than WMS domain experience.
