Tips for Finding H-2B Sponsorship Jobs in Georgia
Target the Golden Isles and Jekyll Island resort corridor
Coastal Georgia resorts on St. Simons Island, Sea Island, and Jekyll Island run seasonal hospitality operations that rely heavily on H-2B workers. These employers often hire through the same staffing agents year after year, so applying early in the cycle matters.
Focus on Atlanta's suburban landscaping employers
Gwinnett, Cherokee, and Forsyth counties host some of Georgia's densest concentrations of landscaping companies that file H-2B petitions annually. These employers tend to rehire returning workers first, so early outreach before peak filing season gives you an advantage.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified H-2B postings by Georgia location
Migrate Mate lists H-2B sponsorship jobs filtered by state and industry, which saves time compared to sorting through general job boards that don't distinguish between visa types. Filter by Georgia to see which employers are actively petitioning.
Check OFLC disclosure data for repeat Georgia H-2B filers
The Department of Labor publishes H-2B labor certification data at flag.dol.gov. Search for Georgia employers to identify which companies file petitions regularly, what roles they sponsor, and how many workers they typically request each season.
Time your applications around Georgia's two main seasonal windows
Most Georgia H-2B petitions fall into summer tourism and landscaping season or winter hospitality around coastal resorts. Employers file petitions months before the start date, so targeting applications three to four months ahead aligns with their hiring timelines.
Look beyond Atlanta to Savannah, Augusta, and the mountain towns
Savannah's event and hospitality sector, Augusta's golf and tourism industry, and Blue Ridge's seasonal lodging operators all sponsor H-2B workers. Smaller markets outside metro Atlanta often have less competition for available sponsored positions.

Which industries in Georgia sponsor the most H-2B visas?
Landscaping and grounds maintenance is the largest H-2B visa sponsoring industry in Georgia, particularly across Atlanta's suburban counties. Hospitality and resort operations along the Golden Isles coast and in mountain tourism areas like Blue Ridge are also major sponsors. Seafood processing operations on the Georgia coast and amusement or recreation facilities round out the most active sectors.
Which cities in Georgia have the most H-2B sponsorship jobs?
Atlanta's broader metro area, including Gwinnett, Cherokee, and Forsyth counties, accounts for a large share of Georgia's landscaping-related H-2B jobs. Savannah is the primary hub for coastal hospitality and event-related H-2B roles. Brunswick and the Golden Isles corridor are significant for resort and seafood processing positions. Augusta and Blue Ridge also have active H-2B employers in golf, tourism, and seasonal lodging.
What types of roles typically qualify for H-2B sponsorship in Georgia?
H-2B roles in Georgia are temporary, non-agricultural positions that U.S. workers are not available to fill for the season. Common qualifying roles include landscapers, groundskeepers, housekeepers, front-of-house hospitality staff, amusement park attendants, seafood processing workers, and golf course maintenance crews. The position must be tied to a genuine seasonal or peak-load need, with a defined end date.
How do I find H-2B jobs in Georgia that offer visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for visa sponsorship roles, including H-2B positions, and lets you filter by Georgia and by industry so you're only seeing employers who sponsor. You can also search the Department of Labor's OFLC disclosure database at flag.dol.gov to identify Georgia companies with approved H-2B labor certifications, then contact those employers directly before positions are widely advertised.
What is the prevailing wage for H-2B jobs in Georgia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
