Which companies in Georgia sponsor visas for program development managers?
Large Atlanta-based employers are the most active sponsors for program development manager roles in Georgia. Organizations like Emory University, Georgia Tech, the CDC (through affiliated contractors), NCR Voyix, and Cox Enterprises have established H-1B sponsorship histories. Nonprofit healthcare systems such as Grady Health and Piedmont Healthcare also sponsor for program development roles, particularly when the position requires a specialized degree in public health, business, or a related field.
What visa types are most common for program development manager roles in Georgia?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for program development managers in Georgia, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in business administration, public health, education, or a related specialty. Candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3 visa. Those with significant international experience or multinational employer ties may explore L-1A options. Academic and research institutions in Georgia occasionally sponsor J-1 visas for program-related roles.
Which cities in Georgia have the most program development manager sponsorship jobs?
Atlanta accounts for the overwhelming majority of program development manager sponsorship opportunities in Georgia. Buckhead, Midtown, and the Perimeter Center corridor host the highest concentration of corporate and nonprofit employers in this space. Decatur and Emory Village see activity tied to university and healthcare institutions. Savannah has a smaller but growing presence through logistics firms and regional nonprofits, while Augusta generates openings through its healthcare and military-affiliated sectors.
How to find program development manager visa sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to search for program development manager roles in Georgia without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. You can narrow results by location, employer type, and visa category. Given that sponsorship for this role is employer-dependent rather than industry-wide, using a targeted platform like Migrate Mate saves significant time compared to broad job searches.
Are there state-specific considerations for program development managers pursuing sponsorship in Georgia?
Georgia's strong public health infrastructure, anchored by the CDC headquarters in Atlanta and a network of affiliated research organizations, creates a meaningful pipeline for program development managers with public health or policy backgrounds. The state's large university system, including Georgia Tech and the University of Georgia, also generates demand and occasionally supports international candidates through institutional sponsorship. Employers in Georgia must comply with Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements when filing H-1B petitions for this role.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored program development manager jobs in Georgia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
