Which companies sponsor visas for program development managers in Massachusetts?
Massachusetts employers with consistent H-1B sponsorship histories for program development and program management roles include Mass General Brigham, Boston Children's Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard University, MIT, Biogen, and Moderna. Large consulting firms and nonprofit health systems operating out of Boston and Cambridge also sponsor regularly, though each organization sets its own sponsorship policies and hiring timelines.
Which visa types are most common for program development manager roles in Massachusetts?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for program development manager roles in Massachusetts, as these positions typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as public health, business administration, education, or a related specialty. Candidates already holding O-1, L-1, or TN status may also be eligible depending on their background and employer. Some academic and nonprofit employers can also support J-1 exchange visitor positions.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most program development manager sponsorship jobs?
Boston and Cambridge account for the largest concentration of program development manager sponsorship opportunities in Massachusetts, driven by the density of hospitals, universities, biotech firms, and nonprofits in the metro area. Worcester is a secondary hub, particularly through UMass Memorial Health and Clark University. Springfield and Lowell have a smaller but present share of roles tied to healthcare systems and community organizations.
How to find program development manager visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse program development manager roles in Massachusetts without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can narrow results by location, employer type, and role to focus on opportunities in Boston, Cambridge, or Worcester. Migrate Mate is built for international candidates, so the sponsorship signal is built into every listing.
Are there state-specific factors that affect program development manager sponsorship in Massachusetts?
Massachusetts has a strong university and nonprofit ecosystem that creates demand for program development managers with specialized backgrounds in public health, education, and clinical research. Because many sponsoring employers here are nonprofits or universities, they are cap-exempt for H-1B purposes, meaning they can file petitions year-round outside the annual lottery. This makes Massachusetts particularly accessible for international candidates in program development roles at qualifying institutions.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored program development manager jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
