Which companies in Georgia sponsor visas for software engineering managers?
Atlanta-based employers with consistent H-1B sponsorship histories for engineering leadership include NCR Voyix, Cox Enterprises, Delta Air Lines, Fiserv, Global Payments, and Equifax. Georgia's fintech and payments sector is particularly active in sponsoring senior technical roles. Large consulting firms with Atlanta offices, including Accenture and Infosys, also regularly file petitions for software engineering managers.
What visa types are most common for software engineering managers in Georgia?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for software engineering managers in Georgia, given the role's clear specialty occupation classification requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Candidates already holding L-1A status may also transfer to a managerial role within a multinational company. Those with extraordinary ability may qualify for an O-1A.
How to find software engineering manager visa sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse software engineering manager openings in Georgia without sorting through roles that won't support international candidates. You can narrow results to Georgia-based employers with active sponsorship histories, which is particularly useful given Atlanta's mix of enterprise tech, fintech, and logistics companies hiring at the manager level.
Which cities in Georgia have the most software engineering manager sponsorship jobs?
Atlanta accounts for the large majority of software engineering manager sponsorship activity in Georgia, particularly in the Midtown, Buckhead, and Cumberland/Galleria corridors. Alpharetta, north of Atlanta, is a secondary hub with a concentrated fintech and technology services cluster. Smyrna and Peachtree City see some activity tied to defense and logistics technology employers operating near Atlanta's outer ring.
Are there any Georgia-specific considerations for software engineering manager visa sponsorship?
Georgia's Department of Economic Development actively recruits technology companies to the state, which sustains consistent hiring demand for engineering leadership. Georgia Tech in Atlanta produces a strong pipeline of engineering talent and has research partnerships with employers that sometimes extend to sponsored roles. Because software engineering manager positions require demonstrating managerial duties under H-1B specialty occupation standards, job descriptions should clearly reflect team oversight and technical leadership responsibilities.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored software engineering manager jobs in Georgia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
