Which companies sponsor visas for strategy consultants in Georgia?
The most active visa sponsors for strategy consultants in Georgia are the large management consulting firms and their major clients. McKinsey, Deloitte, Boston Consulting Group, PwC, and Accenture all operate out of Atlanta and have established H-1B visa sponsorship track records. Georgia-headquartered corporations in logistics, healthcare, and financial services, including companies like UPS, Intercontinental Exchange, and Anthem, also hire strategy consultants and have sponsored visas previously.
Which visa types are most common for strategy consultant roles in Georgia?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for strategy consultants in Georgia, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at minimum a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, economics, or management. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may qualify for the TN visa under the NAFTA/USMCA professional categories. Australians may be eligible for the E-3 visa, which follows a similar process to the H-1B but without the lottery.
How to find strategy consultant visa sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates searching for visa sponsorship roles, including strategy consultant positions in Georgia. You can filter directly by role and state to see which employers are actively hiring and have sponsored visas previously. Georgia's market is concentrated in Atlanta, so filtering by city alongside role type will surface the most relevant opportunities. Migrate Mate surfaces sponsorship history alongside job listings, which helps you prioritize employers most likely to support your application.
Which cities in Georgia have the most strategy consultant sponsorship jobs?
Atlanta accounts for the overwhelming majority of strategy consultant sponsorship activity in Georgia. The city's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters, major consulting firm offices, and financial services companies makes it the primary market. Midtown and Buckhead are the main commercial districts where consulting firms operate. Outside Atlanta, opportunities are limited, though employers in Savannah's growing logistics corridor and Augusta's healthcare sector occasionally post strategy-related roles.
Are there any Georgia-specific considerations for strategy consultants on work visas?
Georgia does not impose state-level licensing requirements specific to strategy consultants, so there are no additional local certifications beyond federal visa compliance. The Department of Labor's prevailing wage determinations for strategy consultant roles in the Atlanta metropolitan area set the wage floor employers must meet when filing H-1B Labor Condition Applications. Georgia Tech and Emory University's business programs are notable pipelines for international students entering consulting, meaning OPT and STEM OPT periods are commonly used before transitioning to H-1B sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored strategy consultant jobs in Georgia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
