Which companies sponsor visas for radiologic technologists in Hawaii?
The primary sponsors for radiologic technologist roles in Hawaii are large health systems: Hawaii Pacific Health (which operates Pali Momi, Straub, and Kapiolani Medical Center) and The Queen's Health Systems. Kaiser Permanente Hawaii and smaller federally qualified health centers on Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island also have histories of sponsoring internationally trained imaging professionals, particularly for hard-to-fill modality specialties like MRI and CT.
Which visa types are most common for radiologic technologist roles in Hawaii?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for radiologic technologists in Hawaii, as the role generally qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in radiologic science or a related field. Some employers also use the EB-3 immigrant visa pathway for permanent sponsorship, particularly when recruiting from the Philippines. ARRT certification is typically required before any petition is filed.
Which cities in Hawaii have the most radiologic technologist sponsorship jobs?
Honolulu accounts for the large majority of radiologic technologist sponsorship openings in Hawaii, driven by the concentration of major hospital campuses on Oahu. Kailua-Kona and Hilo on the Big Island have openings tied to Hilo Medical Center and private imaging groups. Maui Health System in Wailuku occasionally sponsors for specialized modalities when local candidate pipelines fall short.
How to find radiologic technologist visa sponsorship jobs in Hawaii?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter by state and job title to surface radiologic technologist roles in Hawaii where employers are actively open to visa sponsorship. This is more efficient than general job boards because listings are screened for sponsorship intent. Creating a profile also helps you track new Hawaii imaging postings as they appear, which matters given how quickly hospital roles fill.
Are there state-specific considerations for radiologic technologists seeking sponsorship in Hawaii?
Hawaii requires radiologic technologists to hold a state license from the Hawaii Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy in addition to ARRT certification, so employer sponsors typically expect candidates to be license-eligible before the H-1B petition is filed. Hawaii's geographic isolation means employers are often motivated to sponsor because the local candidate pool is smaller than on the mainland, but the licensing step adds time to the onboarding process.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored radiologic technologist jobs in Hawaii?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
