Responsibilities
- Designs and develops applications architectures, approaches and solutions for business problems and middleware needs in alignment with the enterprise direction and standards.
- Provide integration environment technical knowledge and experience during the planning, execution, and management of integrating new applications and integration into and out of the existing application environment.
- Continually develop skills in the integration technologies in place, as well as staying informed on new developments in integration technology.
- Primary focus on assisting application software developers and engineers in development of APIs and as a development resource.
- Build relationships with vendors of application software deployed in the environment as well as engineering teams and customers to both learn about and provide feedback on their technical integration capabilities.
- Design, develop, and deploy and maintain solutions within IT architectural principles, policies, and guidelines.
- Build automation for testing, security, CICD, RPA and other human process operations.
- Assist with problem determination and resolution efforts when operational issues with integration solutions arise.
- Automation of audit, log, and monitor solutions to provide proactive operational support and takes appropriate proactive measures to prevent impacts for applications.
- Assist with identifying opportunities to enhance or improve business processes via integration, or, as necessary, minimize the impact of integration on those processes.
- Exercise securing integration scenarios using appropriate authentication, authorization, non-repudiation, and data encryption methods.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Knowledge of API protocols: REST, RPC and SOAP
- Bench strength in Linux, Windows, scripting, CICD, and Cloud Compute Services (Azure, AWS, OCI)
- Bench strength in C#, C++ or Java programming languages
- Bench strength in JavaScript frameworks and python/jython
- Knowledge of network protocols and standards.
- Knowledge in event-driven and message queue architectures
Preferred Qualifications:
- Confidence in PowerShell, JavaScript frameworks/libraries (Vue, Angular, React), shell, XML, JSON, SQL
- Experience with relational database design and management techniques
- Experience with web application architectures and integration solutions
- Experience in Agile, ITIL and related project and program frameworks
- Typically 3-5 years of experience in related job function, or advanced degree and/or superior technical skills
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems and/or equivalent work experience in field
