Your role
Your mission as the Onsite Service Engineer is to provide expert repair services for our technology solutions, delivering unmatched customer satisfaction and upholding the highest standards of safety. You are committed to ensuring the performance and longevity of your customers technology through your expertise. Your work is important for supporting the operational success and technological advancement of industries relying on these technologies.
You will:
- Report into the Site Manager.
- Conduct planned and ad hoc visits to inspect, service, troubleshoot, and repair various technical systems. You will also diagnose any issues to prevent equipment downtime.
- Perform installations, ensure safety compliance, and document activities.
- Be the on-site contact, providing service recommendations and addressing customer needs promptly.
To succeed, you will need
Education level
- High School Diploma.
- Prefer an AS degree (full military equivalent may substitute for AS degree).
Relevant Previous experience
- 1-3 years of equivalent experience in relevant technical field such as electronic, mechanical, chemical, gas, refrigeration, or basic vacuum. Ideally, with customer facing experience.
Knowledge areas/Skills
- Strong customer focus to ensure delivered solutions meet customer expectations and timeframes, while working in alignment with Edwards strategies and processes.
- Self-directed, with the ability to understand and resolve problems aligned with job responsibilities and escalates through the appropriate channels when required.
- Proactively seeks customer feedback and asks questions to understand customer’s business.
- Ability to share technical expertise and knowledge and provide coaching to less experienced team members.
- Collaborates and supports with team members to deliver company objectives.
- Complies with all applicable laws, policies, and standards to ensure organizational, safety and health obligations are met.
- Fluency in written and spoken English. Ability to speak distinctly and see/hear clearly.
- Able to use computer software to record data and write reports.
- Can understand and interpret technical documentation relevant to work e.g., technical drawings.
