- Visual email design (outside ESP)
- Copywriting
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) execution
- Modular email library ownership
It is not a pure campaign manager and not a generic email marketer — the emphasis is on creative + technical execution within SFMC.
Core Responsibilities (What They’ll REALLY Do)
Email Creative & Design
- Design email layouts in Figma (or Sketch/Adobe XD) — outside ESP
- Apply updated brand standards consistently
- Focus on clarity, hierarchy, accessibility, mobile-first
Modular Email System Ownership
- Build, expand, and maintain reusable email modules
- Ensure scalability and ease of use for internal teams
- Optimize modular structure over time
Salesforce Marketing Cloud Execution
- Build & deploy emails in SFMC
- Implement modules into live templates
- QA across devices, inboxes, and resolutions
- Partner with marketing & lifecycle stakeholders
Content & Optimization
- Write subject lines, CTA copy, and body content
- Optimize layouts and content using performance data
- Contribute to lifecycle journey thinking (light strategy)
Must-Have Skills
- 5+ years Email / CRM / Lifecycle Marketing
- Email creative design portfolio (non-ESP tools)
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud (hands-on)
- Modular email systems experience
- Email copywriting
- Mobile-first & accessibility best practices
