Which consulting companies sponsor H-1B1 Singapore visas in Illinois?
Illinois-based consulting employers with H-1B1 Singapore LCA filing history include Deloitte, Accenture, McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group, Booz Allen Hamilton, and Cognizant. Mid-size IT and management consultancies headquartered or with large offices in Chicago, such as Huron Consulting Group and West Monroe Partners, also appear in DOL disclosure data. Filing history varies by year and practice area, so reviewing OFLC disclosure records is the most reliable way to verify current sponsorship activity.
Which cities in Illinois have the most consulting H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs?
Chicago accounts for the overwhelming majority of consulting H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship opportunities in Illinois, given its concentration of professional services firm offices along the Magnificent Mile and in the Loop. Suburban clusters in Schaumburg, Downers Grove, and Naperville host technology and management consulting operations for firms like Infosys and Wipro, which also appear in LCA filings. Outside the Chicago metro, consulting sponsorship activity drops off significantly.
What types of consulting roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship?
Roles that commonly qualify are those requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field, fitting the H-1B1 visa specialty occupation definition. In consulting, this typically covers management consulting analysts and associates, technology and IT strategy consultants, financial advisory consultants, data analytics consultants, and human capital consultants. Roles framed as generalist project support or where any degree field satisfies the requirement face greater scrutiny during LCA and USCIS review.
How do I find consulting H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs in Illinois?
Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs in the consulting and professional services sector across Illinois, pulling from verified DOL LCA filing data so you can see which employers have an actual sponsorship history. This is more targeted than a general keyword search because it surfaces employers who have filed LCAs for H-1B1 Singapore workers rather than those who simply list 'visa sponsorship' without specifics.
Are there any Illinois-specific considerations for H-1B1 Singapore consulting sponsorship?
Illinois does not impose additional state-level visa sponsorship requirements beyond federal DOL and USCIS obligations. However, Illinois employers must post the certified LCA at the worksite, which for consulting roles often means the client site rather than the firm's own office. Consultants placed at client locations in Illinois should confirm with their employer how worksite posting and prevailing wage compliance are handled when the primary place of work shifts between client engagements.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Singapore consulting jobs in Illinois?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
