Which companies sponsor visas for data managers in Indiana?
Eli Lilly, Salesforce, Anthem, and Cummins are among the Indiana employers with documented H-1B visa sponsorship activity for data-related roles. Healthcare systems like Indiana University Health and Ascension also file sponsorship petitions for data management positions. Sponsorship patterns vary by year and role, so checking a company's public LCA filings gives the most accurate picture of their recent activity.
Which visa types are most common for data manager roles in Indiana?
The H-1B is the most common visa for data manager roles in Indiana, as the position typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as information systems, computer science, or data analytics. Candidates already in the U.S. on F-1 OPT or STEM OPT extensions often transition into H-1B sponsorship with Indiana employers, particularly in the life sciences and technology sectors.
Which cities in Indiana have the most data manager sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis accounts for the majority of data manager sponsorship activity in Indiana, driven by its concentration of healthcare, pharmaceutical, and financial services employers. Bloomington and West Lafayette see smaller but consistent demand tied to Indiana University and Purdue University research operations and affiliated employers. Fort Wayne has a smaller but growing technology employment base worth monitoring for sponsorship opportunities.
How to find data manager visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship status, so you can search for data manager roles in Indiana without manually screening out employers who don't sponsor. Because Indiana's sponsorship activity is concentrated in healthcare IT, life sciences, and enterprise software, setting role and state filters on Migrate Mate helps surface the employers most likely to support H-1B or OPT transitions for data management candidates.
Are there state-specific factors that affect data manager sponsorship in Indiana?
Indiana's life sciences corridor, anchored by Eli Lilly and a network of contract research organizations, creates consistent demand for data managers with domain experience in clinical data or regulatory systems, which can strengthen a sponsorship case. Purdue and Indiana University also feed qualified graduates directly into the local employer base, meaning some Indiana companies have established sponsorship processes specifically for data roles rather than treating each case as a one-off.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored data manager jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
