ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide occupational therapy, including selection and use of adaptive equipment.
- Perform comprehensive occupational therapy treatment and related follow-up services, including discharge planning.
- Report patient progress and collaborates with evaluating therapist to implement therapy plan of care.
- Document and submit patient reports and charges within the established timeframe.
- Exercise clinical judgment following an occupational therapy plan of care.
- Provide occupational therapy, according to standards of care defined by the state practice act, and other professional and governing agencies.
- Train and educate patients and family members or others, and document understanding of treatment plan and goals.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate's Degree - Accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program - Required
- Occupational Therapist Assistant License (OTA) - State Licensing Board - Required
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) - American Heart Association - Required
- Driver's License - Required
- Auto Insurance - Required
- 1 Year - Occupational Therapist Assistant Experience - Required
- 1 Year - Home Healthcare Experience - Preferred
