Which companies in Indiana sponsor visas for learning development managers?
Larger Indiana employers with documented H-1B sponsorship histories include Eli Lilly, Cummins, Salesforce, Indiana University Health, and Purdue University. These organizations have dedicated HR and legal teams experienced in sponsoring professional roles, including learning and development positions. Smaller firms and regional nonprofits sponsor less consistently, so focusing on enterprise-scale employers improves your odds of finding active sponsorship.
Which visa types are most common for learning development manager roles in Indiana?
The H-1B is the most common visa for learning development managers in Indiana, given the role's typical requirement of a bachelor's degree in education, instructional design, organizational development, or a related field. TN visas apply to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying categories. Candidates already holding OPT or STEM OPT authorization may find it easier to secure an initial offer before transitioning to H-1B sponsorship through their employer.
Which cities in Indiana have the most learning development manager sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis concentrates the majority of Indiana's learning development manager opportunities, driven by its corporate headquarters, healthcare systems, and professional services sector. Fort Wayne, South Bend, and Bloomington offer smaller but active markets, particularly through healthcare networks and university-affiliated employers. Proximity to Purdue University in West Lafayette also creates demand within the higher education and corporate training sectors nearby.
How to find learning development manager visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates and filters learning development manager roles in Indiana by visa sponsorship status, so you're not sifting through listings from employers who won't sponsor. Searching by role and state on Migrate Mate surfaces positions at Indiana employers with verified sponsorship histories, saving significant time compared to broad job searches that don't surface work authorization details.
Are there state-specific considerations for learning development manager roles in Indiana?
Indiana does not impose state-level immigration requirements beyond federal standards, but employers must comply with Department of Labor prevailing wage rules when filing an H-1B Labor Condition Application. Learning development manager roles in Indiana often require demonstrated experience with enterprise learning management systems and curriculum design, which strengthens a specialty occupation determination. Candidates with advanced degrees or instructional design certifications tend to have more straightforward petition approvals.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored learning development manager jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
