Which companies sponsor visas for project management specialists in Indiana?
Eli Lilly, Salesforce, Cummins, Raytheon Technologies, and Subaru of Indiana Automotive have a history of sponsoring foreign workers in project management and related roles. Large manufacturers and pharmaceutical companies in Indiana tend to file the most H-1B petitions for project management specialists, given the complexity of their operations and ongoing need for credentialed program oversight.
Which visa types are most common for project management specialist roles in Indiana?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for project management specialists in Indiana, since the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, business, or information systems. Candidates already in the U.S. on F-1 OPT or STEM OPT extension sometimes transition to H-1B through Indiana employers before their work authorization expires.
Which cities in Indiana have the most project management specialist sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis accounts for the largest share of project management specialist sponsorship activity in Indiana, driven by its concentration of pharmaceutical, tech, and financial services employers. Fort Wayne has a strong manufacturing base with demand for project managers in automotive and defense supply chains. South Bend and Bloomington also generate sponsorship opportunities, particularly tied to university-adjacent employers and regional healthcare systems.
How to find project management specialist visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates and filters job listings by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to search for project management specialist roles in Indiana. You can filter by state and role type to surface employers actively open to sponsoring foreign workers, which is particularly useful given that not every Indiana employer willing to hire project managers will also sponsor visas.
Are there any Indiana-specific considerations for project management specialists seeking visa sponsorship?
Indiana's manufacturing and life sciences sectors drive strong demand for project management specialists, and employers in these industries are generally experienced with H-1B sponsorship. Purdue University and Indiana University produce a pipeline of international graduates in engineering and business, meaning some Indiana employers are already familiar with OPT-to-H-1B transitions. Prevailing wage compliance is required for all sponsored roles, and wage levels are determined by DOL data for each metro area.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project management specialist jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
