Which companies sponsor visas for software quality assurance roles in Indiana?
Several Indiana-based employers have a documented history of sponsoring work visas for software quality assurance roles. Salesforce's Indianapolis office, Eli Lilly, Cummins, Salesforce, and Anthem (now Elevance Health) appear in Department of Labor LCA disclosure data for QA-related positions. Larger employers in the financial technology and healthcare IT sectors in Indianapolis also sponsor regularly, as do defense contractors operating near Fort Wayne and South Bend.
Which visa types are most common for software quality assurance roles in Indiana?
The H-1B visa is the most commonly sponsored visa for software quality assurance engineers in Indiana, as QA roles requiring a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field generally qualify as specialty occupations. Some candidates already holding Optional Practical Training authorization work in Indiana QA roles before their employer files an H-1B petition. Candidates from Australia may also find E-3 visa sponsorship available at qualifying employers.
Which cities in Indiana have the most software quality assurance sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis accounts for the majority of software quality assurance visa sponsorship opportunities in Indiana, driven by its concentration of healthcare IT, fintech, and enterprise software companies. Carmel and Fishers, both suburbs north of Indianapolis, host a growing number of technology firms with QA teams. Fort Wayne and Bloomington see smaller but consistent demand, the latter influenced by Indiana University's computer science programs and affiliated technology employers.
How to find software quality assurance visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates searching for visa-sponsored roles and filters software quality assurance jobs in Indiana that come from employers with a history of sponsorship. Rather than sorting through general job postings, you can browse Indiana QA openings on Migrate Mate where sponsorship willingness is already a factor in the listings, saving time during a job search that often has strict visa timeline pressures.
Are there state-specific factors that affect software quality assurance sponsorship in Indiana?
Indiana's strong life sciences and advanced manufacturing sectors create QA demand that differs from pure software hubs. Employers in regulated industries like pharmaceuticals and medical devices often require QA engineers with domain-specific knowledge, which can strengthen a sponsorship case by demonstrating the specialized nature of the role. Indiana University and Purdue University both produce computer science graduates, meaning some employers have established international hiring pipelines that include sponsorship processes.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored software quality assurance jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
