Which companies sponsor visas for support leads in Indiana?
Indianapolis-based employers with documented H-1B sponsorship histories in support and operations roles include Eli Lilly, Salesforce (Indianapolis office), Cummins, and Anthem (now Elevance Health). Larger logistics and tech firms operating in Indiana tend to have established immigration programs, making them more likely to sponsor support lead roles than smaller regional employers.
Which visa types are most common for support lead roles in Indiana?
The H-1B is the most common visa for support lead positions in Indiana, particularly where the role requires a specialized degree in business, information systems, or a related field. Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify for TN status if the role maps to an eligible USMCA occupation. Australian citizens can explore the E-3 visa as an alternative to the H-1B lottery.
Which cities in Indiana have the most support lead sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis concentrates the majority of support lead sponsorship opportunities in Indiana, driven by its corporate headquarters, healthcare sector, and growing tech presence. Fort Wayne and Bloomington also have relevant employers, with Bloomington's proximity to Indiana University supporting some university-affiliated sponsorships. Indianapolis remains the strongest market for international candidates targeting support lead roles.
How to find support lead visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for visa sponsorship eligibility, letting you search support lead roles in Indiana without manually screening each employer. This matters because not every company that posts a support lead opening is willing to sponsor, and Migrate Mate surfaces those that are. Filtering by Indiana and the support lead category gives you a focused, relevant list.
Are there any Indiana-specific considerations for support lead sponsorship candidates?
Indiana's prevailing wage determinations for support lead roles are set by the Department of Labor based on the Indianapolis or relevant metropolitan area, and employers must certify wages meet that threshold before filing an H-1B petition. Indiana University and Purdue University also produce a pipeline of international graduates who often target support-adjacent roles, meaning competition in Indianapolis can be meaningful for entry-level sponsorship positions.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored support lead jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
