Which companies in Indiana sponsor visas for technical program managers?
Indianapolis-headquartered employers are the primary sponsors, including Salesforce, Eli Lilly, Anthem (now Elevance Health), and Cummins. Larger consulting and IT services firms with Indiana offices, such as Infosys and Tata Consultancy Services, also have a documented history of sponsoring H-1B visas for technical program manager roles. Sponsorship availability varies by team, headcount, and hiring cycle, so confirming directly with each employer is important.
Which visa types are most common for technical program manager roles in Indiana?
The H-1B is by far the most common visa for technical program managers in Indiana, as the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a related technical field. L-1B visas are used by multinational companies transferring TPMs with specialized knowledge from a foreign affiliate. Some employers also support O-1 visa petitions for candidates with an exceptional record of technical leadership.
Which Indiana cities have the most technical program manager sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis concentrates the largest share of technical program manager sponsorship activity in Indiana, driven by its healthcare technology, fintech, and enterprise software sectors. Bloomington sees demand tied to Indiana University's research and technology programs. Fort Wayne has a smaller but growing presence in manufacturing technology and logistics coordination, which occasionally generates TPM openings at companies managing large-scale operational programs.
How to find technical program manager visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship and lets you filter technical program manager jobs by state, including Indiana. Every listing on the platform is screened for sponsorship eligibility, saving significant time compared to manually sorting through postings that don't address work authorization. Filtering by Indiana narrows results to employers actively hiring TPMs in the state's key markets.
Are there state-specific considerations for technical program managers seeking sponsorship in Indiana?
Indiana's prevailing wage determinations for technical program managers are set at the metropolitan statistical area level, so wages required for H-1B compliance differ between Indianapolis, Bloomington, and Fort Wayne. The Indianapolis tech corridor benefits from proximity to Indiana University and Purdue University, which supply a steady pipeline of STEM graduates and create a competitive but active hiring environment for TPM roles requiring technical depth alongside program management credentials.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored technical program manager jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
