Which companies sponsor visas for technical program managers in Arizona?
Intel's Chandler and Scottsdale campuses are among the most active H-1B visa sponsors for technical program managers in Arizona, alongside Microchip Technology, Honeywell, and Raytheon Technologies. Large tech firms with Arizona engineering centers, including PayPal and Axon, have also filed LCAs for TPM roles. Sponsorship activity tends to concentrate in the greater Phoenix metro, particularly in Chandler, Scottsdale, and Tempe.
Which visa types are most common for technical program manager roles in Arizona?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for technical program managers in Arizona, as TPM roles typically qualify as specialty occupations requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, computer science, or a related field. Some candidates with advanced credentials pursue the O-1A. Candidates already authorized under OPT or STEM OPT extension are also frequently hired into TPM roles before full H-1B sponsorship is initiated.
How to find technical program manager visa sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate filters visa sponsorship jobs by role and state, making it straightforward to browse technical program manager openings in Arizona specifically. Because TPM roles are relatively senior, sponsorship willingness varies significantly by employer and team, so filtering by verified sponsorship history is useful. Migrate Mate surfaces employers in Arizona with active LCA filings for technical program manager titles, saving time you'd otherwise spend verifying sponsorship manually.
Which cities in Arizona have the most technical program manager sponsorship jobs?
The Phoenix metro, particularly Chandler, Scottsdale, Tempe, and Phoenix proper, accounts for the majority of technical program manager sponsorship activity in Arizona. Chandler is notable for Intel's large semiconductor manufacturing and engineering campus. Tucson is smaller but relevant for defense and aerospace TPM roles, with Raytheon Missiles and Defense serving as a significant employer in that corridor.
Are there any Arizona-specific considerations for technical program manager visa sponsorship?
Arizona's concentration in semiconductor manufacturing and aerospace shapes the TPM sponsorship market in ways that differ from software-dominated markets. Many TPM roles here involve hardware, systems engineering, or defense programs, which can affect prevailing wage determinations under DOL guidelines since wage levels are calculated by occupation and geographic area. Candidates should be aware that Chandler and Tucson may have different prevailing wage benchmarks than the Phoenix metro proper, which matters for LCA compliance.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored technical program manager jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
