Which companies sponsor visas for technical program managers in Utah?
Adobe, Qualtrics, Goldman Sachs, eBay, and Domo are among the employers in Utah that have sponsored visas for technical program managers. Many of these companies operate large engineering or product centers in Salt Lake City and Lehi. Enterprise software and fintech firms in the state tend to have established immigration support teams, which can simplify the sponsorship process for qualified TPM candidates.
Which visa types are most common for technical program manager roles in Utah?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for technical program managers in Utah, as TPM roles typically qualify as specialty occupations requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field such as computer science or engineering. Some candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may qualify under the TN visa category. Australians may be eligible for the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and is renewed in two-year increments.
Which cities in Utah have the most technical program manager sponsorship jobs?
Salt Lake City accounts for the largest share of technical program manager sponsorship activity in Utah, with a concentration of enterprise tech, financial services, and healthcare IT employers. Lehi, often called Silicon Slopes, is a close second and hosts regional headquarters for companies like Adobe and Qualtrics. Provo also sees TPM hiring, partly driven by proximity to Brigham Young University and a cluster of SaaS startups.
How to find technical program manager visa sponsorship jobs in Utah?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search for technical program manager roles in Utah without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. The platform surfaces openings from employers in Salt Lake City, Lehi, and Provo that have a verified history of sponsoring H-1B and other work visas for TPMs. Setting up role-specific alerts on Migrate Mate helps you catch new postings early.
What should technical program managers know about Utah's tech market before pursuing sponsorship?
Utah's Silicon Slopes corridor has seen sustained growth in enterprise software and fintech, which directly drives demand for technical program managers with experience managing complex, cross-functional delivery. Employers in the state frequently recruit from university pipelines at the University of Utah and Brigham Young University, but international candidates with strong H-1B-eligible backgrounds are actively considered at larger companies with dedicated immigration programs. TPM roles here generally require demonstrable experience managing engineering teams or large-scale product initiatives.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored technical program manager jobs in Utah?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
