Which staffing companies sponsor F-1 STEM OPT visas in Iowa?
Iowa-based and regional staffing firms with documented STEM OPT sponsorship activity include Aureon, Manpower, and TEKsystems, which place candidates across Des Moines and Cedar Rapids. National staffing groups operating Iowa offices have also filed Labor Condition Applications for STEM-eligible roles. Sponsorship eligibility varies by role, employer size, and whether the position is listed under a qualifying SOC code tied to a STEM-designated degree program.
Which cities in Iowa have the most staffing F-1 STEM OPT sponsorship jobs?
Des Moines accounts for the largest share of staffing and recruiting positions with STEM OPT eligibility in Iowa, driven by its financial services, insurance technology, and healthcare IT sectors. Cedar Rapids follows, supported by manufacturing and logistics operations. Iowa City and Ames see smaller but consistent demand tied to university research ecosystems and the STEM talent pipelines those institutions generate.
How do I find staffing F-1 STEM OPT sponsorship jobs in Iowa?
Migrate Mate filters staffing and recruiting jobs in Iowa that are open to F-1 STEM OPT candidates, showing verified employer sponsorship history and role details in one place. You can narrow results by city, role type, and STEM OPT eligibility without manually contacting each employer. Checking DOL Labor Condition Application disclosures through OFLC can further confirm which Iowa staffing firms have active sponsorship filings.
What types of staffing roles typically qualify for F-1 STEM OPT sponsorship?
Staffing positions that qualify for STEM OPT generally require a direct connection to a STEM-designated degree field. Roles such as data analyst recruiter, workforce analytics specialist, HR technology coordinator, and talent operations associate can qualify when the job duties align with CIP codes approved by USCIS. Pure relationship-based recruiting roles without a quantitative or systems component are less likely to meet the specialty occupation standard for STEM OPT purposes.
Are there Iowa-specific considerations for F-1 STEM OPT sponsorship in the staffing industry?
Iowa staffing employers participating in STEM OPT must be enrolled in E-Verify, a federal requirement for all STEM OPT placements. Iowa's relatively smaller labor market means fewer firms have established STEM OPT infrastructure compared to coastal hubs, so candidates should confirm E-Verify enrollment and a formal training plan before accepting an offer. Iowa's agribusiness and insurance sectors create niche demand for STEM-qualified staffing professionals not commonly found in other states.
