Role Overview: As a ServiceNow HRSD Solution Architect, you will play a critical role in implementing and optimizing Human Resource Service Delivery (HRSD) solutions, with a particular focus on the HR workflows, case management, and employee service centers. Your extensive experience and deep knowledge of the ServiceNow HRSD module will be pivotal in delivering solutions that meet client needs, delight users, and drive tangible value for Deloitte's business investments. You will leverage your deep expertise in ServiceNow and HRSD module to design, configure, and deploy high-quality, outcome-focused solutions. The ideal candidate will be a role model and mentor, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation and integration of ServiceNow solutions. Recruiting for this role ends on 4/26/26.
Key Responsibilities:
Outcome-Driven Accountability: Embrace and drive a culture of accountability for customer and business outcomes. Develop solutions that solve complex HR problems with valuable outcomes, ensuring high-quality, lean designs and implementations.
Technical Leadership and Advocacy: Serve as the technical advocate for ServiceNow HRSD solutions, ensuring architectural integrity, feasibility, and alignment with business and customer goals, NFRs, and applicable architecture and engineering standards—being responsible for solution architecture blueprints, high-level architecture designs, and integration architecture into the technical landscape and technology stack.

Be self-driven to learn new technologies, experiment with engineers, and inspire the team to learn and drive application of those new technologies.
Customer-Centric Engineering: Develop lean engineering solutions through rapid, inexpensive experimentation to solve customer needs. Engage with customers and product teams to deliver the right architectural solution in the right way at the right time.
Incremental and Iterative Delivery: Exhibit a mindset that favors action and evidence over extensive planning. Utilize a leaning-forward approach to navigate complexity and uncertainty, delivering lean, supportable, and maintainable solutions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Integration: Work collaboratively with empowered, cross-functional teams including product management, experience, delivery, infrastructure, and security. Integrate diverse perspectives to make well-informed decisions that balance feasibility, viability, usability, and value. Foster a collaborative environment that enhances team synergy and innovation.
Advanced Technical Proficiency: Possess deep expertise in modern software engineering practices and principles, including OOD/OOP, Agile methodologies, DevSecOps, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment. Act as a Role-Model, leveraging these techniques to optimize solutioning and product delivery, ensuring high-quality outcomes with minimal waste. Demonstrate proficiency in ServiceNow HRSD implementation, from conceptualization and design to implementation and scaling, with a focus on continuous improvement and learning.
Domain Expertise: Quickly acquire domain-specific knowledge relevant to the business or implemented ServiceNow modules. Translate business/user needs and UX/UI designs into technical requirements and designs. Navigate various enterprise functions such as business and enabling areas as well as product, experience, delivery, infrastructure, and security to drive product value and feasibility as well as alignment with organizational goals.
Effective Communication and Influence: Exhibit exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts clearly and compellingly. Inspire and influence stakeholders at all levels through well-structured arguments and trade-offs supported by evidence, evaluations, and research. Create coherent narratives that align technical solutions with business objectives.
Engagement and Collaborative Co-Creation: Engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all organizational levels, from team members to senior executives. Which companies sponsor visas for technical solutions architects in Iowa?
Principal Financial Group, Transamerica, Wells Fargo's Iowa operations, and Hy-Vee's technology division are among the Iowa-based employers that have sponsored foreign nationals for technical solutions architect roles. Iowa's insurance and financial services sector drives consistent demand for this position, and several of these firms have dedicated HR processes for H-1B visa petitions given their ongoing need for specialized technical talent.
Which visa types are most common for technical solutions architect roles in Iowa?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for technical solutions architects in Iowa, as the role typically requires at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related engineering field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with advanced qualifications may also find employers willing to support O-1A petitions or, for longer-term pathways, EB-2 or EB-3 employment-based green card sponsorship.
Which cities in Iowa have the most technical solutions architect sponsorship jobs?
Des Moines accounts for the largest share of technical solutions architect openings in Iowa, driven by its concentration of financial services, insurance, and enterprise technology companies. Cedar Rapids is a secondary hub, with employers in manufacturing technology and regional banking. Davenport, part of the Quad Cities metro, also sees periodic openings from logistics and industrial technology firms operating across the Iowa-Illinois border.
How to find technical solutions architect visa sponsorship jobs in Iowa?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and lets you filter for technical solutions architect roles in Iowa where employers are actively open to visa sponsorship. Rather than sorting through thousands of general postings, Migrate Mate surfaces positions relevant to your visa situation. Focusing your search on Des Moines and Cedar Rapids within the platform will reflect where Iowa employer demand for this role is highest.
Are there state-specific considerations for technical solutions architects pursuing sponsorship in Iowa?
Iowa does not have a state income tax structure that meaningfully differentiates it for visa purposes, but the Department of Labor's prevailing wage determinations for technical solutions architects in Iowa's metropolitan areas reflect regional market rates rather than coastal figures. Employers filing Labor Condition Applications are required to meet these Iowa-specific wage levels. Iowa State University and the University of Iowa also generate a pipeline of candidates, meaning local employers are familiar with OPT and H-1B processes.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored technical solutions architect jobs in Iowa?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
