Which companies sponsor visas for analytics engineers in Kansas?
The Kansas City metro is home to the strongest cluster of sponsoring employers. Oracle Health (formerly Cerner), Garmin, and C2FO have filed H-1B petitions for data and analytics roles. In Wichita, Spirit AeroSystems and Koch Industries-affiliated companies have sponsored technical positions. Larger financial services and healthcare firms operating in Kansas also appear in Department of Labor LCA disclosure data for analytics engineer titles.
Which visa types are most common for analytics engineer roles in Kansas?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for analytics engineers in Kansas. The role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation because it requires at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field. Candidates already holding OPT or STEM OPT authorization through programs at the University of Kansas or Kansas State University can work before an H-1B petition is filed.
Which cities in Kansas have the most analytics engineer sponsorship jobs?
The Kansas City metro area, spanning both Kansas and Missouri, accounts for the majority of analytics engineering activity in the state. Overland Park and Lenexa on the Kansas side host tech campuses and corporate offices that generate the most sponsorship filings. Wichita is a secondary market driven by aerospace and manufacturing data needs, while Topeka and Manhattan see occasional postings tied to state government agencies and university research.
How to find analytics engineer visa sponsorship jobs in Kansas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search analytics engineer roles in Kansas without wading through postings that don't offer sponsorship. The platform surfaces positions from employers who have a documented history of sponsoring work visas, which is particularly useful in a mid-sized market like Kansas where sponsoring employers are more concentrated in specific cities and industries.
Are there any Kansas-specific considerations for analytics engineers seeking visa sponsorship?
Kansas falls under Department of Labor wage determinations for the Kansas City metropolitan statistical area and the Wichita MSA separately, so prevailing wage levels differ depending on which city your employer is based in. Analytics engineers pursuing H-1B sponsorship should confirm their employer's LCA reflects the correct wage level for their specific work location. The University of Kansas also operates a tech transfer and startup ecosystem in Lawrence that occasionally sponsors international talent for data-focused roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored analytics engineer jobs in Kansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
