Which companies sponsor visas for business development managers in Kansas?
Employers with documented H-1B visa sponsorship history for business development roles in Kansas include Garmin International in Olathe, CBIZ in Leawood, and larger Wichita-based manufacturers such as Spirit AeroSystems and Koch Industries affiliates. National firms with Kansas offices, including staffing and consulting companies, also appear in Department of Labor disclosure data as sponsors for business development positions.
Which visa types are most common for business development manager roles in Kansas?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for business development managers in Kansas, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business, marketing, or a related discipline. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management or business roles. Candidates with extraordinary achievement may explore O-1 visa classification, though it requires substantial documentation.
Which cities in Kansas have the most business development manager sponsorship jobs?
Overland Park and Leawood, both in the Kansas City metropolitan area, account for the largest concentration of business development manager sponsorship activity in Kansas due to their dense corporate office presence. Wichita follows closely, driven by aviation and manufacturing firms that maintain dedicated sales and partnership development teams. Lawrence and Topeka have a smaller but present share of sponsoring employers.
How to find business development manager visa sponsorship jobs in Kansas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search business development manager roles in Kansas without sifting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. The platform pulls from employers with active sponsorship histories, which is particularly useful in Kansas where sponsoring companies are spread across Wichita, Overland Park, and the broader Kansas City metro rather than concentrated in one hub.
Are there any Kansas-specific considerations for business development managers seeking visa sponsorship?
Kansas employers filing H-1B petitions for business development managers must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements, which vary by metropolitan area. Roles in the Kansas City metro generally reflect higher prevailing wages than those in Wichita or smaller markets. Kansas does not have state-level immigration programs, but the University of Kansas and Kansas State University produce graduates who sometimes transition into sponsored business development roles at regional employers.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored business development manager jobs in Kansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
