Which companies sponsor visas for human resources assistants in Kansas?
Larger Kansas employers with established HR departments are the most consistent sponsors. Spirit AeroSystems and Koch Industries subsidiaries in Wichita, Cerner (now Oracle Health) in the Kansas City metro, and the University of Kansas Health System have all sponsored HR-related roles. Sponsorship is not guaranteed and depends on the position, the candidate's qualifications, and the employer's current hiring needs.
Which visa types are most common for human resources assistant roles in Kansas?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for human resources assistants, provided the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field. Some candidates also enter through OPT following U.S. studies. TN visa status is available for Canadian and Mexican nationals whose HR roles meet the treaty eligibility criteria.
Which cities in Kansas have the most human resources assistant sponsorship jobs?
Wichita is the largest labor market in Kansas and holds the highest concentration of HR assistant positions, driven by its aerospace manufacturing base and healthcare sector. The Kansas City metro on the Kansas side, particularly Overland Park and Lenexa, also has meaningful HR hiring activity across corporate headquarters and logistics companies. Lawrence and Manhattan see some demand tied to university employment.
How to find human resources assistant visa sponsorship jobs in Kansas?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates and filters human resources assistant jobs in Kansas by visa sponsorship eligibility, saving you from sorting through listings that won't support work authorization. You can narrow results by location within Kansas, such as Wichita or the Kansas City metro, and identify employers with a documented history of sponsoring HR roles. It is the most direct way to match your profile to sponsoring employers in this state.
What should international candidates know about HR assistant roles and visa sponsorship in Kansas?
Kansas employers sponsoring H-1B workers for HR assistant roles must pay the prevailing wage as determined by the Department of Labor for the specific location and job classification. Because human resources assistant positions sometimes involve generalist duties that do not require a specific degree, USCIS scrutinizes whether the role truly qualifies as a specialty occupation. Candidates with a degree directly in human resources or business administration are better positioned for approval than those with unrelated credentials.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored human resources assistant jobs in Kansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
