Which companies sponsor visas for marketing managers in Kansas?
Garmin, based in Olathe, is one of the more active sponsors for marketing roles in the state, given its global technology footprint. Koch Industries and its subsidiary network in Wichita also hire senior marketers and have the legal infrastructure to support sponsorship. Larger financial services firms and aviation-related companies in the Wichita metro round out the most likely sponsoring employers for marketing manager positions.
Which visa types are most common for marketing manager roles in Kansas?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for marketing managers in Kansas, since the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with exceptional records in brand strategy or digital marketing may qualify for an O-1A. Intracompany transfers via the L-1A are relevant for managers moving from a foreign parent or affiliate into a Kansas-based operation.
Which cities in Kansas have the most marketing manager sponsorship jobs?
The Kansas City metro, particularly Overland Park and Leawood on the Kansas side, has the highest concentration of marketing manager sponsorship opportunities due to its dense corporate headquarters presence. Wichita is the next most active market, driven by aerospace, manufacturing, and regional financial institutions. Lawrence and Manhattan see occasional openings tied to the University of Kansas and Kansas State University ecosystems, though sponsorship activity there is more limited.
How to find marketing manager visa sponsorship jobs in Kansas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles where employers have a demonstrated history of visa sponsorship, which saves significant time compared to applying broadly. For marketing manager roles in Kansas, you can search by state and job title to surface positions at companies like Garmin or larger Wichita-based employers. Migrate Mate also provides visa-relevant context alongside listings, helping you assess fit before applying.
Are there state-specific or role-specific factors that affect marketing manager sponsorship in Kansas?
Kansas does not have a state-level visa program, so all sponsorship runs through federal categories. The Department of Labor's prevailing wage requirements apply to H-1B filings, and employers must certify that the offered compensation meets the wage level for marketing managers in the specific metro area, whether Kansas City or Wichita, since wage floors differ by region. Companies with established legal and HR teams, common at larger Kansas employers, are better positioned to handle the process.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored marketing manager jobs in Kansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
