Which companies sponsor visas for program analysts in Kansas?
Kansas employers with documented H-1B visa sponsorship histories for program analyst roles include Spirit AeroSystems and Textron Aviation in Wichita, Garmin in Olathe, and federal contractors supporting operations at Fort Riley and McConnell Air Force Base. State government agencies and university systems such as the University of Kansas and Kansas State University also sponsor program analysts in IT and administrative functions.
Which visa types are most common for program analyst roles in Kansas?
The H-1B is the most common visa for program analysts in Kansas, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree in a related field such as computer science, information systems, or business administration. Some analysts employed at universities or nonprofit research centers may qualify for cap-exempt H-1B petitions, allowing employers to file outside the annual lottery cycle.
Which cities in Kansas have the most program analyst sponsorship jobs?
Wichita generates the highest volume of program analyst sponsorship activity in Kansas, driven by its aerospace manufacturing and defense contracting industries. Olathe and Overland Park, part of the Kansas City metro, are strong second options with technology and corporate employer concentrations. Topeka sees demand through state government IT contracts, and Manhattan has university-affiliated opportunities through Kansas State University.
How to find program analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Kansas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to identify program analyst roles in Kansas where employers are actively willing to sponsor. Rather than sifting through general postings, you can focus directly on Kansas-based employers in aerospace, defense, and technology who have sponsorship histories for analyst-level positions.
Are there state-specific considerations for program analysts seeking visa sponsorship in Kansas?
Kansas program analyst roles tied to defense contractors often require security clearance eligibility, which can affect sponsorship timelines since clearances are generally not granted to non-citizens or recent permanent residents. Employers in Wichita's aerospace sector tend to be familiar with H-1B processes given the industry's international talent needs. University of Kansas and Kansas State University also serve as pipelines for OPT-to-H-1B transitions in analyst roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored program analyst jobs in Kansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
