Which companies sponsor visas for program analysts in Idaho?
Micron Technology in Boise is one of the most active H-1B visa sponsors in Idaho and has filed for program analyst roles through its IT and operations divisions. Federal contractors supporting the Idaho National Laboratory in Idaho Falls also sponsor analysts with relevant technical backgrounds. State government agencies occasionally sponsor through cap-exempt pathways when affiliated with qualifying research institutions, though private-sector employers remain the primary source of sponsorship in Idaho.
Which visa types are most common for program analyst roles in Idaho?
The H-1B is the most common visa for program analyst positions in Idaho, requiring a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as information systems, computer science, or business analytics. Some employers, particularly those affiliated with the Idaho National Laboratory, may qualify as cap-exempt institutions, allowing year-round filing outside the annual lottery. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals where the role maps to an eligible USMCA occupation category.
Which cities in Idaho have the most program analyst sponsorship jobs?
Boise accounts for the largest share of program analyst sponsorship activity in Idaho, driven by Micron Technology, healthcare systems like St. Luke's and Saint Alphonsus, and a growing cluster of technology companies in the Treasure Valley. Idaho Falls is the secondary hub, primarily through contractors and subcontractors supporting the Idaho National Laboratory. Coeur d'Alene and Pocatello have occasional openings but represent a much smaller portion of total sponsorship activity.
How to find program analyst visa sponsorship jobs in Idaho?
Migrate Mate filters program analyst roles specifically by visa sponsorship willingness, so you can search Idaho without sorting through employers who don't sponsor. The platform surfaces positions at Boise-based tech employers, healthcare networks, and federal contractors in Idaho Falls where program analyst sponsorship is most active. Setting up alerts for Idaho on Migrate Mate means you'll see new sponsorship-eligible postings as they appear rather than discovering them after positions close.
Are there any Idaho-specific considerations for program analysts seeking visa sponsorship?
Idaho's relatively small labor market means fewer total sponsorship openings compared to coastal tech hubs, but competition for those openings can also be lower. The Idaho National Laboratory creates a distinct pipeline for analysts with technical, engineering, or data-focused backgrounds, and positions there may carry national security clearance requirements that affect eligibility. Boise State University and the University of Idaho contribute a graduate talent pipeline that some employers draw from, making university partnerships worth noting when researching which local employers have established sponsorship patterns.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored program analyst jobs in Idaho?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
