Which finance companies sponsor E-3 visas in Kentucky?
Louisville is home to the largest E-3 sponsors in Kentucky's finance sector. Humana's finance and actuarial divisions, regional banks such as Stock Yards Bank and Republic Bank, and insurance-adjacent financial firms have filed Labor Condition Applications for specialty occupation roles. National employers with Kentucky operations, including PNC and Fifth Third Bank, have also appeared in DOL disclosure data for finance positions in the state.
Which cities in Kentucky have the most finance E-3 sponsorship jobs?
Louisville accounts for the majority of finance E-3 sponsorship activity in Kentucky, driven by its concentration of insurance, banking, and healthcare finance employers. Lexington is the second-largest market, with community banks, wealth management firms, and university-adjacent financial services. Covington and Florence, in the northern Kentucky corridor across from Cincinnati, also attract finance employers whose operations span the Ohio River metro area.
What types of finance roles typically qualify for E-3 sponsorship?
E-3 sponsorship requires the position to meet the specialty occupation standard, meaning it must normally require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In finance, roles that consistently qualify include financial analyst, credit analyst, risk manager, compliance officer, actuary, and investment analyst. General bookkeeping or teller positions typically do not qualify because they don't require a specific degree field. The employer's LCA must document the degree requirement.
How do I find finance E-3 sponsorship jobs in Kentucky?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for E-3 job seekers and surfaces Kentucky finance roles from employers with verified LCA filing history, so you're not guessing which companies are open to E-3 sponsorship. Filter by state and industry to see active financial analyst, compliance, and risk management listings. Beyond Migrate Mate, reviewing OFLC Wage Search disclosure data for Kentucky finance LCA filings can confirm which Louisville and Lexington employers have sponsored E-3 workers in recent years.
Are there any Kentucky-specific considerations for finance E-3 sponsorship?
Kentucky does not impose state-level licensing requirements specific to E-3 visa holders, but finance professionals in certain roles should be aware that state-regulated activities, such as securities advising or insurance brokering, require separate licensure through the Kentucky Department of Financial Institutions regardless of visa status. Employers in Louisville's insurance-heavy finance sector may factor licensing timelines into their sponsorship decisions, so confirming licensure eligibility early in the hiring process is worth discussing with the employer.
What is the prevailing wage for E-3 finance jobs in Kentucky?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
