Which companies sponsor visas for account managers in Massachusetts?
Technology and life sciences companies lead sponsorship activity for account managers in Massachusetts. HubSpot, Akamai, Salesforce, Oracle, and Thermo Fisher Scientific have all filed Labor Condition Applications for account management roles in the state. Enterprise software firms based in Greater Boston and along Route 128 are among the most active sponsors, given their reliance on international sales and client-facing talent.
Which visa types are most common for account manager roles in Massachusetts?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for account managers in Massachusetts, provided the role requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as marketing, business, or communications. The L-1B is used when a candidate transfers from an overseas office of the same company. Australians may qualify for the E-3 visa, and Canadian and Mexican nationals may be eligible for TN visa status under the USMCA, though TN eligibility depends on the specific role definition.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most account manager sponsorship jobs?
Boston accounts for the majority of account manager sponsorship activity in Massachusetts, particularly in the Seaport and Back Bay districts where enterprise software and fintech firms are headquartered. Cambridge and Waltham also generate consistent volume, driven by biotech and technology companies clustered around Kendall Square and the Route 128 corridor. Worcester and Burlington see smaller but steady demand from regional enterprise accounts.
How to find account manager visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters account manager roles in Massachusetts by visa sponsorship eligibility, so you are not sifting through postings from employers who do not sponsor. The platform surfaces roles from companies with active sponsorship histories in the state, which is particularly useful for identifying Boston-area technology and life sciences employers who regularly hire for client-facing account management positions.
Are there state-specific considerations for account managers seeking visa sponsorship in Massachusetts?
Massachusetts employers sponsoring H-1B workers must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements for account manager roles, which are benchmarked to the Boston-Cambridge-Nashua metropolitan area and tend to reflect a high-cost labor market. The state's concentration of university graduates from MIT, Boston University, and Northeastern also means employers are accustomed to OPT and STEM OPT transitions into sponsored status, making early engagement with HR teams during OPT periods a practical approach.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored account manager jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
