Account Manager, Small Pharma
About the Role

We are currently seeking an Account Manager to support our Small Pharma Segment, managing a portfolio of approximately 20–30 pharmaceutical clients. Joining our Small Pharma Segment team offers the opportunity to work with innovative pharmaceutical companies while leveraging IQVIA’s industry-leading data and commercial capabilities to drive real-world impact.
This role serves as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts and is responsible for driving client satisfaction, revenue growth, and adoption of IQVIA’s data assets and broader commercial offerings. This is a highly visible, client-facing role requiring strong relationship management, consultative selling skills, and the ability to navigate and mobilize IQVIA’s cross-functional network to deliver value for clients.
Key Responsibilities
Account & Client Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned Small Pharma accounts, owning overall client relationship health and satisfaction.
- Manage day-to-day client interactions, including scope management, expectation setting, issue resolution, and escalation mitigation.
- Proactively identify opportunities to reshape scope, reframe client needs, and expand engagement value.
Commercial Growth & Sales
- Promote and sell IQVIA data assets and broader commercial solutions to existing clients through value-based, consultative conversations.
- Identify new revenue opportunities within assigned accounts and support value-added sales initiatives.
- Partner with internal sales specialists and solution teams to bring the right offering to each client.
Contracting, Billing & Internal Coordination
- Own contracting, invoicing, and commercial administration for assigned accounts.
- Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams (Sales, Delivery, Analytics, Legal, Finance, etc.) to ensure seamless execution and service delivery.
- Broker appropriate internal support across the broader IQVIA network based on client needs.
Strategic Engagement & Visibility
- Host and participate in internal business reviews and account planning sessions.
- Represent IQVIA at client meetings, conferences, and IQVIA-sponsored events.
- Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders while positioning IQVIA as a long-term strategic partner.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3–6 years of experience in the life sciences industry.
- Experience in account management, client services, sales, or commercial roles.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Experience selling data, analytics, or commercial solutions into pharmaceutical or biotech clients.
- Familiarity with life sciences commercial models, data assets, or market access/commercial strategy.
- Experience working cross-functionally within a matrixed organization.

Compensation
The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $73,000.00 - $182,600.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
