Search Account Manager Jobs in OregonAccount Manager Jobs in Oregon: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies in Oregon sponsor visas for account managers?
Technology companies anchored in Portland's Silicon Forest, including Intel, Salesforce's Oregon offices, and various SaaS firms, have filed Labor Condition Applications for account manager roles. Nike's global headquarters in Beaverton, Daimler Trucks North America, and agricultural technology companies in the Willamette Valley have also sponsored commercial and account management positions. Sponsorship is not guaranteed and varies by employer size, hiring cycle, and the specific scope of the role.
Which visa types are most common for account manager roles in Oregon?
The H-1B visa is the most frequently used visa category for account managers in Oregon, but the role must qualify as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. Australian citizens may pursue the E-3 visa through the same employer-sponsored process. Candidates already holding L-1 visa intracompany transferee status at a multinational with Oregon operations represent another pathway, provided the role meets internal transfer requirements.
How to find account manager visa sponsorship jobs in Oregon?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search account manager roles in Oregon without sorting through positions that won't support international candidates. Because Portland-area employers in tech and logistics sponsor more consistently than smaller regional firms, focusing your Migrate Mate search on companies with 500 or more employees and established legal or HR infrastructure tends to surface the most actionable opportunities.
Which cities in Oregon have the most account manager sponsorship jobs?
Portland and its inner suburbs, particularly Beaverton and Hillsboro, account for the majority of sponsored account manager roles in Oregon. Hillsboro is home to Intel's largest U.S. campus, which generates demand for technical account managers and customer success roles. Eugene has a smaller but emerging technology sector, and Bend's growing remote-friendly employer base occasionally lists account management positions open to visa-sponsored candidates.
Are there any Oregon-specific considerations for account managers pursuing visa sponsorship?
Oregon employers sponsoring H-1B account managers must pay the prevailing wage as determined by the Department of Labor for the specific occupation and metropolitan area, with Portland-metro and Hillsboro classified separately. Oregon's concentration of semiconductor, clean technology, and direct-to-consumer brands means account manager roles often require industry-specific knowledge. Oregon State University and the University of Oregon also feed regional employer pipelines, so candidates with alumni connections to those schools may find warmer initial outreach in this market.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored account manager jobs in Oregon?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
