Which companies sponsor visas for business development associates in Massachusetts?
Boston-area employers with consistent international hiring records include HubSpot, Wayfair, Biogen, Fidelity Investments, Liberty Mutual, and PTC. Many early-stage biotech and SaaS companies headquartered in Cambridge and the Route 128 corridor also sponsor business development associates, particularly when hiring candidates with specialized technical or scientific knowledge relevant to their product lines.
What visa types are most common for business development associate roles in Massachusetts?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa for business development associates in Massachusetts, provided the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as business, marketing, or a technical discipline. Australian citizens may also qualify for the E-3 visa. Candidates already holding OPT or STEM OPT can start work before sponsorship is finalized.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most business development associate sponsorship jobs?
Boston and Cambridge account for the largest share of business development associate sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts, driven by concentrations of biotech, SaaS, and fintech employers. Waltham and Burlington along the Route 128 corridor are secondary hubs, particularly for enterprise software and medical device companies. Worcester has a smaller but growing presence tied to its university-anchored research community.
How to find business development associate visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship eligibility, so you can browse business development associate roles in Massachusetts without sifting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. The platform covers employers across Boston's tech, life sciences, and financial services sectors. Filtering by location and role type surfaces relevant openings from companies with documented sponsorship histories in the state.
Are there any Massachusetts-specific factors that affect visa sponsorship for business development associates?
Massachusetts employers must meet the H-1B prevailing wage requirements set by the Department of Labor for the Boston-Cambridge-Newton metropolitan area, which tend to be higher than national averages given the region's cost of living. The state's dense university pipeline, including MIT, Harvard, Boston University, and Northeastern, means many employers are already familiar with OPT-to-H-1B transitions for business development hires.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored business development associate jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
