Which companies sponsor visas for cloud architects in Massachusetts?
Major sponsors for cloud architect roles in Massachusetts include Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, Google, HubSpot, Wayfair, Fidelity Investments, Raytheon Technologies, and Liberty Mutual. Large financial services and defense technology firms along the Route 128 corridor have consistent hiring patterns for cloud architects and documented histories of H-1B sponsorship for these roles.
Which visa types are most common for cloud architect roles in Massachusetts?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for cloud architects in Massachusetts, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Candidates with advanced skills may also be considered under O-1A or L-1A categories, particularly those transferring within multinational companies with a presence in Boston or Cambridge.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most cloud architect sponsorship jobs?
Boston and Cambridge account for the largest share of cloud architect sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts, anchored by tech firms, biotech companies, and financial institutions concentrated there. Waltham and Burlington along the Route 128 corridor are also significant hubs, hosting major enterprise technology employers. Worcester is a smaller but growing market, particularly tied to healthcare IT and university-affiliated technology initiatives.
How to find cloud architect visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship and lets you filter cloud architect roles by state, so Massachusetts positions are easy to identify. Because employers do not always advertise sponsorship availability upfront, Migrate Mate surfaces roles from companies with verified sponsorship histories, saving you time screening out positions that won't work for your immigration situation.
Are there any Massachusetts-specific considerations for cloud architects seeking visa sponsorship?
Massachusetts is a high-cost labor market, so the prevailing wage levels the Department of Labor uses for H-1B Labor Condition Applications in the Boston metropolitan area are among the higher thresholds nationally. Cloud architects with experience in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform are in demand across the state's biotech, fintech, and defense sectors. MIT and Boston University also create a strong local pipeline that sponsors actively recruit from.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored cloud architect jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
